Meet Your Doula

Cynthia Garcia

I am a mother, wife and advocate. I am here to offer my guidance to help mom, partner and baby have the best experiences throughout their journey. My goal is to help moms and dads be comfortable and as stress free as possible during their pregnancy, labor and birth, during their breastfeeding journey and after baby arrives. I am here to help comfort and support them and partner as well as advocate for them when needed and remind them that momma is in charge of her journey!

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained and educated professional who can help and guide you through labor . A doula will offer educational, emotional and physical support for both you and partner. They can be an extra pair of hands to give partner a chance to rest. A doula can give education on childbirth and show different techniques to help with labor.

There are different types of doulas that help in different ways.

Labor and Birth Doula

Pregnancy and Postpartum Doula

Fertility Doula

Bereavement Doula

Its best to ask questions to see which doula is the best fit for you and your family. Some doulas offer all of these services.

About Me

My Story

I am a mom of 4, I have been through a c section, 2 vbacs with their own obstacles, and a healing homebirth. I have breastfed all my kids, all at different stages and with different obstacles of their own. I am a sexual and childhood abuse survivor. All of my experiences as well as educational background give me the knowledge to be able to help moms and understand first hand what they may need most. My goal is to help mom in whatever is needed for her journey. In my role as a certified Doula, Lactation Counselor, and Placenta Specialist, I offer support to women and their partners before, during and after childbirth. My role is to help facilitate safe, positive and empowering birthing experiences by offering the information, emotional support and physical support needed during this time.

Birthing Through Traumas

I specialize in helping through traumas! I can offer resources, information or even just a listening ear when needed to help you through your traumas. With my personal experiences with healing through my own traumas and my knowledge in birth-work, I make it my mission to help YOU reclaim your power and be confident in YOU!

Childhood Traumas: Birthing as a childhood abuse survivor can bring back many triggers. My role as your doula is to help guide you through those fears comfortably and helping you address and work through them, so they don't affect your birth or postpartum. As a survivor myself, I can relate to your fears and be a safe place for you. Anything discussed between you and I, is confidential!

VBAC and Birth Traumas: C-sections, inductions, and traumatic births can cause traumas of their own, especially if it was unplanned. My goal is to help you through these fears and give you as much information to make informed decisions for yourself as well as be confident in those decisions.

"Trauma creates change you don't choose, Healing creates change you do choose."

- Michelle Rosenthal

"I Survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me."

"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any."

- Alice Walker
